Booking Terms & Conditions: Lodge 43, Heritage Park

The hiring contract is between the Hirer and the Owner of the lodge and incorporates conditions 1 – 15 below.

  1. A non-refundable deposit of £100 is payable upon booking. The balance of the rental is payable four weeks prior to the start of your holiday. Bookings made within four weeks of arrival require full payment at time of booking.
    Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer. Details will be sent to you when your booking is confirmed.

  2. Payment of the deposit (or full payment) is deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  3. We reserve the right to refuse any booking application.

  4. If the Hirer fails to pay the balance of rental on, or before the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and all deposits previously paid may be forfeited.

  5. Cancellation by the Hirer must be notified to the Owners in writing. If the Hirer cancels the hire before the balance of rental has been paid, we will not refund the deposit. If the Hirer cancels the hire within four weeks of arrival, we will not refund any monies paid, unless the lodge is re-let. In this case we will refund the amount received for the re-let, less the original deposit.

  6. The lodge will be thoroughly cleaned before your arrival and it would be appreciated if you leave it as you find it. We understand that accidents can happen, but please report damage and breakages to the owners by phone: 07773 624973 or by email: You will be expected to pay for or replace damaged items.

  7. We reserve the right to enter the accommodation for the purposes of urgent repairs or maintenance at any time. The Owner cannot be held responsible for any accident, loss or damage which may be sustained by any hirer, member of his/her party or visitor, or their property, however caused.

  8. If the lodge becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control we will make every effort to find you alternative accommodation but if this is not possible any refund will be made immediately without any further claims being made by you or your representatives.

  9. The maximum number of people staying at the lodge is 4. This must not be exceeded.
    We no longer accommodate under 18s unless specifically agreed in advance. If your party includes children and we have agreed to accommodate you, we will request a damage deposit of £100.  This deposit will be returned to you 7 days after departure, minus any amount needed to cover excess cleaning or damage to the lodge.
    We reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice and without refund if any part of this condition is breached.

  10. We do not allow pets to be present during your stay. We reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice or refund if this condition is breached.

  11. The lodge is strictly non-smoking. We reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice or refund if this condition is breached.

  12. Due to the construction of the lodge & the decking, barbecues are not permitted. We reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice or refund if this condition is breached.

  13. Only one car may be parked next to the lodge, although there is a large car park near the park entrance for additional vehicles. Please do not park on any of the access roads within the park.  This is a strict site rule which we would kindly ask you to respect.

  14. The lodge will be available from 4 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure.

  15. Whilst not a condition of booking, you should ensure that you have adequate holiday/cancellation insurance.
